Hey there, Community!
Our mission is to redefine the way people communicate with video. Our platform is built around authentic reciprocal connection through video content shared within communities you create, join and shape. Whether posting a ripple video reply, responding to friends in a private group, or building a public community of your own, we want everyone to feel safe, respected and empowered to be themselves.
We may use artificial intelligence (“AI”) to support creative video generation while maintaining high standards of ethics and responsibility. Any AI tools we provide are designed to empower self-expression while respecting the rights and dignity of everyone on our platform.
These guidelines apply to all activity on the platform — including video posts, comments, messages, profile names, community names and descriptions, community rules and shared content in all formats. They apply to public communities, private communities and direct interactions between users. These guidelines help keep our community safe, respectful, and inspiring for everyone. When these guidelines are broken, we may take action, from removing content to banning accounts, and in some cases reporting to law enforcement authorities when necessary.
While we have the right to review, moderate, or remove any content from our platform, we do not proactively review all of it. We cannot guarantee that all users will comply with our guidelines or that our platform will be free of violating content. If you come across content that violates our guidelines, we encourage you to report it using the reporting features on the platform. Your reports help us keep the platform safe and aligned with our values.
Our Communities
Our platform thrives on communities built around specific interests, topics, and creative approaches to video content. As a platform that redefines video communication, we believe that user-led communities are essential to fostering connection. Every community is defined by its users who help shape its culture.
Creating a Community
Any user in good standing may create a community. When you create a community, you take on a responsibility to set the tone and maintain a space that complies with these guidelines. As a community owner, you must establish community-specific rules that supplement (but never contradict) these platform-wide guidelines and actively moderate your community or appoint moderators to help. Persistent failure to address violations within your community may result in the community being placed under platform oversight, suspended, or removed.
Pick a community name that is clear, descriptive, and free of slurs, hate speech, or explicit language. Do not name your community in a way that impersonates another community, brand, or public figure. Write a description that honestly represents what the community is about and what members can expect.
Public Communities
Public communities (including open and closed groups) are discoverable by all users and open for anyone to view or join. Content posted in public communities is visible to the broader platform and may appear in search results and recommendations. Because of this visibility, public communities carry a heightened expectation of compliance with our content standards.
Content Boundaries
Our platform centers on authentic video. We celebrate real content that reflects genuine self-expression. The following standards apply to all video content posted anywhere on the platform.
Keep it PG
Our platform is not a space for nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content. We take non-consensual content seriously. Sharing sexual or revealing content depicting another person (whether real, modified or simulated) without their consent will result in immediate removal and account action.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any such content will be immediately removed, and responsible account will be permanently banned and the matter will be reported to the relevant authorities.
Spread Love, Not Hate
Our community is built to foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment. We do not allow hate speech, harassment, or any form of offensive and discriminatory content targeting individuals or groups based on race , ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or serious medical condition. Do not post content that: (a) is racist, homophobic or xenophobic; (b) depicts symbols associated with hate groups, offensive gestures; or (c) demeans or targets people. If you are posting about someone else’s hateful conduct to create a satire or raise awareness in the community, make sure you clearly indicate your purpose in your content to give the community more context. We value free expression, but never at the expense of others’ safety and dignity. Wellness First, Not Harm
Our platform is a space for connection and community — not harm. We do not allow content that promotes, glorifies, or depicts self-harm in any form. This includes real or staged acts, fake depictions of self-harm, and content that promotes suicidal ideation or glamorizes eating disorders or unhealthy weight loss behaviors.
Support is welcome, encouragement of harmful behavior is not. If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 or connect with a trained crisis counselor for help.
Peace over Violence
We strive to keep our platform free from graphic or threatening content. Violent, very bloody, or gory material has no place here — whether real, staged, or implied. This includes anything that promotes, glorifies, or casually displays violence, weapons, or physical harm – towards both humans and animals.
Context matters, but content that creates a sense of threat or encourages violence will not be tolerated.
Keep it Legal
We do not tolerate content that encourages, instructs, or incites harmful or illegal behavior. This includes content that promotes illegal goods, dangerous organizations or criminal activities, or poses a threat to public safety. This extends to promotion of terrorism, extremist ideologies, mob violence and chaos or content that glorifies or incites hate crimes.
Truth Matters, Especially in the World of AI
With great AI comes great responsibility. We may offer generative AI features for creative expression and expect our users to use them responsibly.
False or misleading information has no place here, especially when it can cause harm or confusion, incite fear, panic, or violence, or be used to manipulate others. This includes medical misinformation, misleading information about an election, a referendum or other forms of civic participation, and AI-generated “evidence” of events that never occurred, and/or manipulated content that falsely portrays real people (“deepfakes”). If you use AI tools to generate or significantly alter video content, let your audience know. To protect our community, all AI-generated content must be disclosed in your content description or within the video content itself. As we build out dedicated labeling features, we'll update these guidelines with specifics.
We support freedom of speech and diverse viewpoints, but draw the line at content that misleads, manipulates, or harms.
Scam-Free, Zero Deception
Attempts to trick, exploit, or mislead others are prohibited. This includes scams that target personal information, dating or financial security, and phishing or malicious attempts. We ask our community to refrain from using QR codes or third party links that can conceal harmful content or phishing attempts.
Impersonating individuals, organizations, or public figures, or creating fake accounts designed to mislead others is not allowed. Do not create accounts that look and feel like they belong to other people, including celebrities or influencers, without their consent. This also extends to catfishing, using someone else’s photos, or creating fake business profiles to scam or confuse others. A fan account needs to explicitly state so in its account name to avoid confusion. AI voice cloning, digital doubles, or synthetic media that places real people in fictional scenarios requires clear disclosure and consent from these impacted individuals.
Respect Each Other
Sustained, unwanted contact directed at another user is harassment. This includes repeated unwelcome messages, intimidation, threats, sharing someone's personal information without their consent (doxxing), and creating content designed to humiliate a specific person. Coordinated efforts to flood, disrupt, or target another community or its members are not allowed. This includes organizing mass-reporting campaigns in bad faith, posting hostile content as a group in another community, or piling on to suppress someone's voice. If you have a real concern about another community, use the report tools.
Let’s be Accountable
If you encounter any content or activity that you believe violates these guidelines and our other platform terms, report it to us right away! We rely on your help to keep our communities safe. You can report a specific video or comment or an entire community using the report button on that content, block a user profile by visiting their profile if it's being run in violation of these guidelines.
When you submit a report, our team will review the flagged content. We aim to review reports promptly and will take action where a violation is confirmed. Reports are confidential; we do not reveal the identity of the reporting user to the person or community being reported. Submitting false or bad-faith reports to harass other users or communities is itself a violation of these guidelines.
These guidelines will evolve as our community grows. As a result, we may take action against content or accounts that violate the spirit of these guidelines, even if not explicitly covered here. These guidelines are also updated from time to time to better align with our mission and needs of our community.
Together, we are building an amazing platform where creativity and responsibility go hand in hand. Make this a great place for everyone to connect, share, and engage. Thanks for being part of our community!
